🛡️🛡️ New level IO and armor to protect you there 🛡️🛡️
Battle Arena VR 2.5 is LIVE!
A new foggy map with floating islands will engage your imagination and reflexes to always stay alert on that incoming rocket! You can now pick up an additional armor, make 180 turnaround to instantly respond to the attacker behind your back, and lots of improvements.
1. New level IO, foggy floating mountains forest with a defense tower in the middle.
2. Shield as additional armor. This is a force shield that you pick up to recharge your shield's energy. The shield scale goes semitransparent on top of the health bar.
3. Snap turn to look back. Make 180 turnaround to instantly respond to the attacker behind your back and lots of improvements.
4. Prevent walking through your enemies. If you happen to run into an enemy, your body will be stopped from moving forward.
5. Better precision for your weapons. There was a precision loss when an enemy is moving fast and rotating in his play area, we addressed it to precisely match a position of the player with a position of the player skin so your hits will be 100% registered.
6. [Steam only] Steam user name wasn't always available. Sometimes, when the connection to Steam is delayed, we can drop the username and generate a random one instead, now we wait until Steam is completely initialized before accessing the platform services like a username.
7. Plasma was OP making bots OP and almost unkillable in close combats. We have reduced the plasma damage by 25% to balance the game.
8. Disable dead body rotation. Whenever a killed person turns in VR, the body used to continue tracking rotation and rotated the dead/dissolving body.
9. [Quest only] Audio was broken on the first load. In specific cases, on the first load after microphone permission request, game audio could become broken. We now request the permission separately, announcing that to a player, to make sure the permission dialog doesn't break audio.
10. Update a few important libraries for networking and VR integrations to improve game performance and stability.
11. Dynamic strength of the linker. Sometimes the linker was too strong when attached on longer distances and too weak when attached too close to a player. We now adjust the strength of the linker based on the attachment point distance to balance and improve swinging physics.
12. Update all maps to include the shield to recharge your armor.
